In our new weekly feature, we are getting out and about on the trails to meet everyday locals and find out a bit more about them and their bikes.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Name: Dave Mitchell
Location: Saint-Tropez
Bike: Canyon Nerve AM

Where are your local trails?
My local trails are mostly out in the hills around the Saint-Tropez area.

How often do you ride?
I try and get out and ride about twice a week.

What types of riding do you normally do?
Normally just ride trail and all mountain stuff. I don't do any downhill but i sometimes get out and do a bit of cross country.

Talk us through your bike?
This is actually a borrowed bike. I have Marin Wolfridge back at home which I've had about 3 years but it's not in great shape.

What's your favourite part on the bike?
My favourite part on the bike is the shock. It feels really plush.

Next upgrade planned for the bike?
The last new thing I had was a new chain, cassete and chainring. A full swap of drivetrain. Its normally my gear stuff that goes. I'm due a full bike upgrade in the next year as my current ones starting to fall to bits. I'm looking at something along the Canyon line like the one I've borowed today, it seems really nice.

What other bikes do you own?
I have a Marin Wolfridge back at home in France.
